About 1,530 Orland Park and Orland Hills Residents Without Power

Heavy rains and winds during a lightning storm early Thursday morning knocked out power in a few places in town. ComEd crews are working on restoration.

A severe lightning storm with heavy winds and rains early Thursday morning knocked out electricity for about 1,530 residents in Orland Park and Orland Hills.

Outages have been reported in the following areas:

  • 118th Avenue near Will Cook Road (about 5 customers affected)
  • West Avenue near Huntington Court and Avenida del Norte Street (about 1,212 customers affected)
  • Ravinia Avenue and 144th Place (about 152 customers affected)
  • 140th Street and Catherine Drive (about 108 customers affected)
  • 80th Avenue and Forest View Drive (about 36 customers affected)
  • 144th Place and 92nd Court (about 16 customers affected)
  • Sycamore Drive and Catalina Drive (about 5 customers affected)

Details on crew efforts to restore power were not immediately available.
