Names in the News: A Mother's Call for Prayers

Jean Oliver asked for people to pray for her daughter after a bad car accident. Her daughter still has a lot of recovery to go, though several people on Patch offered their support in comments.

 

It was a simple request.

“That was my daughter who got smashed in the car. Please pray for her recovery,” wrote .

Oliver’s daughter Becca had to be extricated from a smashed up car, following an accident Wednesday on 159th Street near 80th Avenue. Following Oliver’s request, comments offering support and well wishing flooded in. Oliver then graciously offered updates on her daughter’s condition, detailing aspects of the extensive surgeries performed on Becca’s leg, arm and face.

“She does have a severely bruised main nerve in her arm and does not have full function of it yet,” Oliver wrote. “She is moving her fingers a little which is awesome but that is all right now.”

Oliver also expressed her appreciation for the support.

“Thank you all for your concern, well wishes and prayers. Becca and our family, extended family and friends so appreciate everything so very much!”
