It's Your Turn...Adult Higher Education Conference at Robert Morris University

Whether you've always wanted to return to college for a degree, want to study in a new field, or are at a point where your children are off on their own and you would like to consider new options, a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree may a goal to strive for.  It's your turn to explore the possibilities and Robert Morris University is inviting you to take the first step.

RMU's College of Adult Continuing Studies and the Morris Graduate School of Management are sponsoring the 2012 Adult Higher Education Conference on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the RMU Chicago campus, 401 South State Street.  This is a must-attend event for adults looking to continue their education.

Delivering the keynote address at the conference is Chris Gardner, motivational and inspirational speaker, whose life story was told in the film, “The Pursuit of Happyness,” starring Will Smith.  Mr. Gardner will be addressing the keys to overcoming obstacles and breaking cycles. He is an author, producer, entrepreneur, passionate philanthropist and active ambassador for AARP.

Additionally, Gaston Armour of the Illinois Department of Human Services will speak on “Careers and Education in the New Economy.”

This free conference is an event for adult learners, focusing on empowerment through education.  Local leaders in higher education will present ideas for discussion on current topics that impact education and careers.
