RMU Alumni Hall of Fame: Recognizing Graduates' Success

On Saturday, March 8, Robert Morris University Illinois inducted seven alumni into their Alumni Hall of Fame at the University’s Athletic Convocation Center in Arlington Heights.  Honorees were nominated by RMU faculty members, based upon academic excellence, volunteerism, leadership, generosity of spirit and activism as an RMU student. 

 

Tony Frais of Chicago (60612) received his Bachelor of Business Administration from RMU in 2013.  He is a former US marine specializing in logistics and is currently a Distribution Area Supervisor for Home Depot.  He received an RMU proclamation for organizing VITAL on campus (Veteran Integration to Academic Leadership), is a volunteer for Junior Achievement and, as a graduate student, is a Teaching Assistant for RMU business courses.

Chris Fryzek of Hickory Hills, is a dual degree grad, completing his BBA and MBA in 2013.  He was an Eagle Scholar at the Orland Park campus, an intern with the University’s public relations department, a volunteer and fundraiser for the Respiratory Health Association and co-founder of Community Restoration by Ecumenical Workers (CREW).  He is a Corporate Account Manager with CDW.

Natasha Granholm of Aurora graduated from RMU in 1998. She is a partner at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLC.  She was RMU’s Distinguished Alumna of 2012 and the RMU Business Leader of the Year for 2013.  She serves on the School of Business Administration Advisory Board, partners with RMU Career Services by providing advice for professional development, and is the creator of PwC’s Seasonal and Honors Program for college students.  She was a soccer player at RMU and has presented at many professional association accounting conferences over the years.

 

Victor Herrera of Chicago (60626) is the Director of Operations for Chicago Public Schools.  He completed his associate degree at RMU and then his Master of Information Systems in 2009.  Over 100 RMU students have completed internships through his efforts.  He serves on several professional boards that promote technology and higher education for Hispanics.  He has offered several projects to RMU’s ICenter for student involvement and received the Business Leader of the Year Award from the School of Business Administration.

 

James Poole of Westmont completed his BBA and MBA in 2010 and is the Lead Analyst for G.E. Capital.  He received the US Air Force Achievement Award in 2009 and 2013, as well as the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President’s Award for Excellence.  He is a volunteer for Junior Achievement, the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the United Way, and serves as an RMU Alumni Advisory Board Member.

 

Nina Rodriguez of Chicago (60638) completed her MBA in 2012.  She is a Claims Analyst for Personal Planners, Inc.  She is a volunteer for the Clinton Global Initiative, “Open Streets,” and is a congressional district leader for One Campaign.  She is the founder and creator of Morris Women and serves as an RMU Alumni Advisory Board Member.

 

Rosie Thompson of Chicago (60619) is a Senior Portfolio Manager for BMO Harris.  She completed her BBA in 2011 and her MBA in 2013.  She is the founder of Matters in the Heart and the Hospitality Charity Outreach Ministry, and is a volunteer for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.  She has provided internships for RMU students and serves as the RMU Alumni Advisory Board President.
