The Music Connection Announces Winners of 1st Annual Summer Camp Scholarships

The winners are from New Lenox and Homer Glen.

The Music Connection of Orland Park and Frankfort held its first summer camp scholarship competition on Sunday, April 13 at The Music Connection in Orland Park.

“Since the recession, I noticed a drop in the numbers of local students who attend summer music camps” Janet Kuester, owner and director of The Music Connection stated. “I wanted to start encouraging our students to experience the value of summer music camp: it is truly immersion. For students who are working so hard with trying to balance studies with practicing, camp is often a time where exceptional progress can be made.”

Two students, Rachel Singh and Natalie Mattson were the scholarship winners.
