Authorities Investigating Online Chat Room in Sex Images Case
Kevin Skaritka is accused of sending sexual images sent over the Internet, and he is still facing sexual assault charges from an unrelated case.
Prosecutors are getting information about a "nudist chat room" involved in the case against Kevin Skaritka, an Orland Park man charged with felony manufacturing harmful materials, officials said during a court hearing Wednesday.
Police said Skaritka, 36, was talking online to someone he thought a 14-year–old girl, but was actually an undercover officer. The conversations took place between Nov. 2011 and June 2012. Prosecutors said at a past hearing that Skaritka sent a naked photo of himself, took part in a video chat while nude and requested a nude photo in return.

Skaritka was already facing unrelated sex assault charges before the most recent case, where authorities say he molested his girlfriend’s teenage daughter and exposed himself to her between 2009 and May 2011. He has pleaded not guilty in both cases.
Skaritka has been in custody since the new charges surfaced after being given a $2 million bond. He didn't speak during Wednesday's hearing as he stood next to his attorney Robert J. Callahan.

He is scheduled to be back in court on Jan. 17 for both cases.
