Chicago Man Convicted For Touching Himself At Centennial Park Pool

Man was arrested in June after pool patrons and staffers said they saw him fondling himself.

A Chicago man banned for life from Centennial Park pool earlier this summer for allegedly touching himself inappropriately was convicted of disorderly conduct this week and sentenced to 10 days in Cook County Jail.

Jorge L. Martinez, 42, of the 4500 block of West 55th Street, was convicted Wednesday by Judge Donald Havis after a bench trial at the Cook County Courthouse in Bridgeview. He was immediately taken into custody after the sentence was announced.

A police report of the incident said Martinez was seen with his hand inside his shorts at various places around the pool, including the locker room and an outdoor pavilion.
