Court Watch: Area Doctor Facing More Sex Charges
A Chicago man was sentenced Friday for his role in robbing a dead man's home and other court news.
The Southland's major criminal and civil cases heard in Cook County and Will County courts this week.

Dr. Rajat Prakash, 46, of Oak Brook is facing a second accusation of fondling a patient. Following a misdemeanor battery charge that he had fondled a 32-year-old woman with , Oak Lawn police said another woman came forward a few days after the charge were filed on Feb. 15.

The second accuser said he touched her private areas without her consent when they met to discuss her medical information. A civil case against the doctor is also in the works. He will be back in court on May 17.

David R. Reed, 23, of Chicago was sentenced Friday morning after pleading guilty to residential burglary. Authorities accused him of stealing from a murdered man's home whose body was decomposing in one of the rooms.
Reed and a second man charged with residential burglary in the same incident, John H. White, 21, also of Chicago, testified in February that they did not know the man had been killed . White is scheduled for sentencing on Friday.
