A Washington, D.C., man faces drunken driving charges after police allegedly found him parked on LaGrange Road.

John P. Plante, 58, of the 3000 block of Q Street, Washington, D.C., was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08 and making an improper stop, according to a report.

An officer found Plante’s car stopped at about 11:19 p.m. in the 13700 block of LaGrange Road, according to the report. The hazard lights were not turned on but the engine was running.

Police reported smelling alcohol on Plante’s breath when he spoke, according to the report. He had trouble finding his driver’s license and had problems walking when he got out of the car, police said.

Plante was processed and released after posting an I-Bond. He is due on June 24 in Bridgeview court.
