Driver and Passenger Deny Owning Seized Pot: Blotter

Outstanding Warrants

Paul R. Parker, 40, of the 3200 block of West Arthington in Chicago, was arrested at about 2:33 on a warrants from Orland Park for driving with a suspended license and the Illinois Department of Corrections for retail theft, according to a report. He was transported from the Will County jail to the Orland Park Police Department. He was due in Bridgeview bond court on Feb. 26.

DUI Charge for Steger Man

Winston C. Hall, 27, of the 22700 block of Cottage Grove in Steger, was charged with driving under the influence, disobeying a traffic signal, failing to signal when required and not having front or rear plates. Hall was stopped at about 1:58 a.m. near the intersection of West and Ravinia avenues. He was arrested and taken to the Orland Park Police Department, where he took a breath test. Hall is due in Bridgeview court on April 16.

Swerving In The Lane

Ryan M. Young, 36, of the 11200 block of Bradley Court in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use and driving without headlights when required, according to a report. Police allegedly saw Young’s vehicle swerving in the lane. He was stopped at about 8:17 p.m. near 143rd Street and Wolf Road. During the stop, he was asked to perform field sobriety tests. Young was due in Bridgeview court on March 14.

Nobody's Marijuana

Martynas Sadzevicius, 19, of the 14600 block of Oakley Avenue in Orland Park, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving without a seat belt, according to a report. Sadzevicius was stopped at about 9:22 p.m. near 8800 159th St. The officer reported smelling a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. Police found a green leafy substance the center console during a search. Both Sadzevicius and the passenger denied owning the marijuana. The leafy substance tested positive for the presence of marijuana nad weighted about 2.5 grams.
