Evidence Still Being Gathered in Case of Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting a Teen
Attorneys for both sides are scheduled back in court in October.
The next hearing for a man accused of is scheduled for October while attorneys continue to collect evidence for trial.
Kevin Skaritka, of Orland Park, is charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and criminal sexual abuse. He's accused of molesting a teenage girl between 2009 and May 2011, according to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
In August, with an electronic monitor, even though two of his guns—a shotgun and AR-15 rifle—were missing from his home.

On Monday, the state's attorney's office told the judge the state needs more time to gather evidence. Prosecutors declined to discuss the evidence.
Robert Callahan, Skaritka’s attorney, also declined to discuss any evidence but asserted that his client has been “totally wrongfully accused.” An official statement for the press, he noted, was on the way.
