A line stretched out the door Wednesday afternoon at Rosemoor Funeral Home in Lansing as mourners gathered to pay their respects to Anita "Jeanie" Kustok, 58, who was shot to death last week in Orland Park.

The Riverside schoolteacher will be laid to rest on Thursday.

On Thursday, a memorial Mass will take place at Our Lady of Knock Church, 501 163rd St., Calumet City, at 12:30 p.m., Chelbana said.

Kustok worked as a schoolteacher throughout her life, and most recently taught a gifted program for students between 3rd and 5th grade at Central Elementary School in Riverside.

Donations can be made in Kustok's memory to the Children's Memorial Foundation in Carol Stream by calling 708-474-2404.

Her husband Allan Kustok, 59, was accused of shooting her Wednesday morning and later charged with first-degree murder. He is being held on $2 million bail at the Kankakee County jail and is scheduled to be back in court on Oct. 25.
