A man who recklessly sped through Orland Park on his motorbike — shooting videos of himself dodging and mocking police that were later found online — was dubbed the "Orland Ghost Rider" on YouTube.
But police say they eventually caught up with 22-year-old Justin J. Jachimiec, who sped through the streets wearing a helmet camera to record the videos, and now he's charged with three felony counts.
were called on Nov. 19, 2011, about a motorcyclist riding recklessly near the 7300 block of Wheeler Drive. He was speeding, driving over lawns, cutting through traffic and disobeying stop signs before riding past an officer making a traffic stop, according to police.
While driving past the traffic stop, he pulled his front wheel up, sped by and taunted the officer, police said.
He also refused to stop for other officers who had turned on their emergency lights, opting to drive past the squad cars head on.
Police later found the videos on YouTube, posted under the user name “wheelerdrivebandit," where the rider is nicknamed the “Orland Ghost Rider” in the text. In the video, you can hear him mocking the police.
On March 13, an Orland Park officer saw the same man again near 159th Street and LaGrange Road around 6:45 p.m., weaving a motorcycle in and out of traffic, onto grassy areas and again refusing to stop for officers signaling him to do so, according to the police. He also drove past another officer making a traffic stop while doing a wheelie for about four blocks, police said. Police chose not to pursue because of safety risks involved with the reckless driving, police said.
The following day, however, police went to an address on Juanita Drive, gaining entry with a search warrant, and identified him through evidence as the driver in both incidents, police said.
Jachimiec, of the 15400 block of Tulip Court in Orland Park, was charged with felony possession of a stolen vehicle, driving with a suspended license, two counts of felony fleeing and eluding police and other traffic offenses.
Later, police found that the motorcycle used was reported stolen in Laona, Wis., on June 19, 2011, based on a serial number found on the bike.
Jachimiec’s bail was set at $70,000 and is scheduled back in court on April 11.

You said Ghost Rider was and i quote "Awesome". I have never seen nor heard of him until his personal videos were posted here, so that's why I never did anything about it before. You said you are a parent yet you are defending him that no one got hurt. So you would be willing to risk your own children's well being so he can have his hobby? Or maybe, you are the parent of Ghost Rider and that's why you are defending him. Maybe you should volunteer to be a character witness for this fine gem at his court hearing.
If you watched the video, he went through more than one stop sign, cars are swerving to get out of his way. He is breaking the law.

And again- he's not a 'kid'- he's 22 years old. Also- it doesn't matter if the bike was 'street legal'. He was behaving carelessly and recklessly, not only evading police, but taunting them as well. I'd like to know how many months worth of police call logs you have examined, to know with such certainty that 'no one called the police'. In fact, the police were called many, many times. If you lived in this neighborhood, you wouldn't need the video to see what kind of self-centered and dangerous individual we are talking about. You'd have seen firsthand, how close he came to children on the ball field, how close he came to hitting or being hit by cars, how close he came to pedestrians and animals. His behavior is indefensible - no matter how you try to twist it. Your arguments and excuses make no sense. I must attribute it to a lack of maturity, education, and life experience.
Personally knowing people who live in this area, I can guarantee you, this individual was not just someone just trying to ride his dirt bike to get from point A & B be. He took a lot of pleasure out of harrassing people and the police. And if you look at all the youtube groups he belonged to, you can see his intent was to take pride in breaking as many laws as he could to gain high praise from other law breaking motor bike riders across the country. Not to mention, all on a stolen bike.
Anyone who thinks what this guy was doing is fun, creative, safe, etc. is foolish. Sue S and Carin are brilliant! Samantha, Tim, Justin....hope you grow up some day. Does anyone know what length of jail sentence this idiot was handed?
