Names in the News: ‘Ashford House 5’ Say They Are Innocent

Five Indiana men accused of storming into the Ashford House, wielding hammers, nunchucks and other weapons used to cause numerous injuries and damage, pleaded not guilty to a long list of charges against them.

Attorneys representing Cody Sutherlin, 23; Dylan Sutherlin, 20; Alex Stuck, 22; John Tucker, 26; and Jason Sutherlin, 33, otherwise known as the Ashford House 5, made their first moves in court on Thursday.

First, they brought forth petitions to get a new judge on the case. Then the five men officially said before the court that they are not guilty of committing the attack at Ashford House in May.

"There's nothing more to be said other than that they pleaded not guilty and we intend to prove that," said defense attorney Aaron Goldstein, who is representing Jason Sutherlin.
