No One Injured In Bedroom Fire

A fire that started in the bedroom of an Orland Park home was quickly put out before anyone was hurt, officials said.

No one was injured during a fire that started in the bedroom of an Orland Park house Tuesday morning.

The Orland Fire Protection District was called about a house fire at 14415 Highland Ave. at 9:32 a.m., according to a release from the district. The fire started in the bedroom of the house, and crews were able to put out flames by about five minutes after arriving at the scene, according to the release.

The fire was contained within the bedroom, district spokesman Bill Figel said. No residents or firefighters were reported injured during the fire, according to the district. Firefighters remained on scene until around 10:55 a.m.

The fire's cause is still under investigation, and the cost of damages has not been released as of 2 p.m. Tuesday.
