Orland Man Accused of Resisting Arrest at Tinley Park Target Store

Police arrested an area man in February who they said burglarized the Target in Brookside Marketplace. He was detained in a wooded area behind the shopping complex, according to reports.

recently apprehended a man in a field behind Brookside Marketplace after he escaped Super Target through a fire door with bags of groceries, they said.

Officers charged Justin C. Jachimiec, 22, of Orland Park, with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He entered Super Target, 7300 W. 191st Street in around 4 p.m. Feb. 14, when he reportedly grabbed grocery bags from behind a counter and began stuffing them with items.

"At approximately (4:14 p.m.), the tape shows Justin in the sporting goods aisle placing items from a shopping cart into the Target bags," the report said. "The tape also shows Justin heading towards the front exit doors and then turning around."

A Target loss prevention officer was waiting at the exit doors for Jachimiec, police said, and when he realized it, he headed for the fire escape. The security guard chased him and lost sight. He then heard the fire alarm going off, according to the report.

Police said they found Jachimiec running behind Kohl's, where they detained and arrested him. Super Target did not file a complaint against Jachimiec, according to the Will County State's Attorney's Office.

Among charges already on his rap sheet were obstructing justice, larceny and criminal trespassing to a vehicle, the report said.
