UPDATE: Orland Park ‘Ghost Rider’ Trial Delayed

Update: 3:50 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012

The trial for Justin Jachimiec, accused of recklessly driving a motorcycle in a residential area of Orland Park while eluding police, was pushed back from Tuesday's scheduled start date.

A new trial date has not been scheduled as of Tuesday afternoon, while aspects of his most recent arrest for missing a court date are sorted, according to court officials.

An Orland Park man accused of recklessly driving a motorcycle around the village, mocking police and shooting videos of the escapades, is scheduled to start his trial Tuesday.

Justin Jachimiec, 22, has pleaded not guilty to charges against him, including two counts of felony fleeing and eluding police and other traffic violations. Orland Park police arrested him in March. Three months later, he was in McDonough County court for .

Jachimiec’s video surfaced on YouTube, posted under the user name “wheelerdrivebandit," where the rider is nicknamed the “Orland Ghost Rider” in the text. The account has since been taken down, though at least one of the videos remains online through a different user account.

Jachimiec was arrested again for missing an October court date.

The trial is scheduled to begin Tuesday in Judge Carmen K. Aguilar's courtroom in Bridgeview.
