Warrant Arrest

Keisha M. Hudson, 26, of the 3300 block of West Brooke Avenue was arrested on a 2005 Orland Park warrant for retail theft. She turned herself in to the around 9:35 a.m.

Hidden in Pants

Police were called about a retail theft at Sears in Orland Square Mall around 4 p.m. Store security said a man was seeing taking two bottles of cologne and hiding them in his pants before leaving the store without paying, police said. Andrew M. Lewis, 24, of the 500 block of Anghram in Calumet City, was charged with retail theft.

Dressing Room Magic

Police were called about a retail theft at Macy’s around 2:05 p.m. Store security said a woman and a girl went into fitting rooms with clothing, and left the rooms carrying less than they went in with before leaving the store, police said. Security stopped them outside the store and found unpaid items in bags they carried, according to the report. The girl took $61.99 worth of merchandise, and the woman took $152.96 worth of items. Tanada K. Williams, 19, of the 179000 block of Amherst Court in Country Club Hills, was charged with retail theft. The girl was released to her mother.

FRIDAY, MARCH 2

Dine N’ Dash

Police were called about three men who walked out on their bill at Casa Margarita around 4 p.m. Dispatch said two of the men left on foot toward LaGrange Road on 151st Street, and officers found two men with matching descriptions running across the Michael’s parking lot, according to the report. Restaurant staff identified the men as those who walked out on the bill, according to the report. The bill was for $25.46 of food and drinks, police said. Darius D. Griffin, 21, of the 17200 block of Greenwood Avenue in Orland Park, and Jamal Smith, 20, of the 15900 block of Drexel in South Holland, were each charged with theft of services.

Too Close

Police pulled over a car after watching it follow another car closely, with about 15 feet between the two, and was braking frequently, around 12:30 a.m. near Circle Drive and 135th Street. The driver said she had no reason for following closely and apologized, police said. The officer smelled alcohol on her breath and she agreed to take a Breathalyzer test after trying field sobriety tests, police said. Amanda C, Canty, 34, of the 11100 block of Moraine Drive in Palos Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level greater than .08 and following too closely.

Red Means Stop

Police pulled over a car after seeing it drive through a red light in the 15100 block of LaGrange Road around 2:20 a.m. The officer smelled alcohol on the driver’s breath and inside the vehicle, according to the report. The driver failed field sobriety tests and took a Breathalyzer test, police said. Otisha S. Luckey, 24, of the first block of Kingery Quarters in Hinsdale, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level greater than .08 and disobeying a traffic signal.
