Orland Park Police Blotter: DUIs, Baggies of Marijuana

Orland Park police reports, Aug. 12-17

FRIDAY, AUG. 17

Road Call

Police were called about a black Ford swerving across lanes, and officers found the car near 179th Street and Wolf Road around 5:50 a.m. The vehicle’s registration was expired, police said. The driver’s breath smelled like alcohol, he admitted to drinking and failed field sobriety tests, police said. Kyle L. Judge, 22, of the 200 block of Walnut Street in Frankfort, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and driving with expired registration.

Warrant Arrest

Police were called about solicitors in the 14500 block of Ridge Avenue around 5:10 p.m., and found two men handing out fliers to houses. One of the men had an active DuPage County warrant for his arrest, police said. Sean M. Boyle, 24, of the 14600 block of Maplecreek Drive in Orland Park, was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant for driving under the influence.

Baggies

Police saw three people in a car parked on a driveway in the 15200 block of Catalina Drive around 9:30 p.m. The officer smelled burnt marijuana while driving by, and turned around to talk the occupants, according to the report. One of the men had left the car and walked into a nearby residence when the officer got to the car, police said. The remaining two men inside the car admitted to possessing marijuana inside the car, according to the report. The officer found a clear plastic bag with marijuana in it on the rear floorboard, and found another bag in the center console that contained seven small Ziplock baggies of marijuana inside, according to the report. Fadi M. Nassar, 24, of the 6900 block of Brementowne Road in Tinley Park, and Abedmonem Zayyad, 23, of the 8600 block of 89th Street in Hickory Hills, were charged with possession of marijuana.

SUNDAY, AUG. 12

Police were called about a woman sitting in a van with loud music playing and talking about being drunk while on the phone in the 14200 block of LaGrange Road around 7:30 p.m. The officer found a woman sitting in a van with the engine running, talking on the phone while listening to loud music, with a beer bottle between her legs, police said. The woman’s breath smelled like alcohol and she had five empty bottles of beer in the van, according to the report. She also failed field sobriety tests, police said. Vania Arquilla-Annesley, 52, of the 14300 block of LaGrange Road in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
