WEDNESDAY, FEB. 15

(Re)Bar Parking

Police saw an SUV in a construction area parked on top of a pile of metal rebar in the 14200 block of LaGrange Road around 12:05 a.m. The driver’s breath smelled like alcohol, he swayed while walking, he admitted to drinking and failed field sobriety tests, police said. Peter J. Stewart, 26, of the 2200 block of West 122nd Street in Blue Island, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol level greater than .08, improper lane use and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Warrant Arrest

Nestor O. Cisneros, 27, of the 2700 block of Grunewalk Street in Blue Island, was arrested on a warrant for retail theft issued on March 27, 2003. He turned himself in to the Orland Park Police Department around 9:15 a.m.

TUESDAY, FEB. 14

Warrant Arrest

Ryan T. Anthony, 19, of the 7900 block of Forestview Drive in Orland Park, was arrested on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia issued on Nov. 17, 2011. He turned himself in to the Orland Park Police Department around 11:40 a.m.

Warrant Arrest

Erica L. Gray, 29, of the 6400 block of Western Avenue in Davenport, Iowa, was arrested on a warrant for possession of cannabis issued on Aug. 9, 1999. She turned herself in to the Orland Park Police Department around 5:20 a.m.

MONDAY, FEB. 13

Case Grab

Police were called about a retail theft at Best Buy around 4:15 p.m., where the men responsible fled the area in a silver sedan. A car matching the description with three men inside was pulled over at 167th Street and LaGrange Road, heading south, police said. Store security said one man was seen taking an iPhone case out of its packaging and handing it over to another man, who then concealed the case, and they left the store without paying, police said. The item is worth $49.99. Keith Giles Jr., 20, of the 8500 block of Winchester Avenue of Chicago, and Darnell F. Brooks Jr., 21, of the 11700 block of Watkins Avenue in Chicago, were each cited with retail theft.

SUNDAY, FEB. 10

Van Weave

Police pulled over a van for driving outside lane lines in the 15100 block of Wolf Road around 1:40 a.m. The driver’s breath smelled like alcohol, and a passenger said a cannabis pipe seen in the car belonged to him, police said. Officers later found a bag of cannabis inside the car, police said. The driver failed field sobriety tests, police said. Gregory S. Bates, 24, of the 11620 block of 139th Street in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and improper lane use. Sean M. Boyle, 24, of the 14600 block of Maplecreek Drive in Orland Park, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

THURSDAY, FEB. 9

Purse Ruse

Police were called about a retail theft at Target around 2:15 p.m. Security said a woman was seen placing items in her purse and leaving the store without paying, police said. The items are worth about $25.69.  Brittany J. Johnson, 23, of the 20500 block of Attica Road in Olympia Fields, was cited for retail theft.

TUESDAY, FEB. 7

Stolen Goods for Sale

Police were on patrol at Orland Square Mall around 7:05 p.m. when they pulled over a car without a working registration light. While talking to the driver and passenger, officers noticed loose clothing items in the car, and the passenger kept pushing down two bags of clothes in the front passenger seat area, police said. The two admitted some of the items were bought from a seller who deals in stolen items, according to the report. Latesha L. Shorter, 27, of the 12800 block of Emerald Avenue in Chicago, and Subina L. Hall, 25, of the 13000 block of King Drive in Chicago, were each cited with possession of stolen items.

FRIDAY, JAN. 27

Fashion Walk

Police were called about a two men and a juvenile held for retail theft at JCPenney around 12:50 p.m. Security said two men and a boy were seen taking clothing into the store’s dressing room, and left without carrying anything, police said. Security did not find the items left behind in the dressing rooms, according to the report. The men and boy were stopped outside the store, and they admitted to wearing the items out, police said. The items are worth $286, according to the report. James E. Fumbanks and Jeremy D. Fumbanks, both 18, and of the 17800 block of Cypress Avenue in Country Club Hills, were each charged with retail theft. The boy was cited for retail theft and turned over to his father.
