Teens Cited With Drinking, Driving
During a traffic stop in the 9400 block of 159th Street at 1:10 a.m., officers said they smelled alcohol coming from a vehicle driven by Sean Gill, 18, of the 9100 block of Orland Court. His passenger, 18-year-old Samantha Olesky of Tinley Park, was cited with underage consumption and released, police said. Gill failed sobriety tests, according to the report, and was charged with failure to signal, illegal transportation of alcohol and underage consumption of alcohol by a minor.
Earrings Taken in Theft
At 7:35 p.m., employees of a Claire's jewelry store in Orland Square told police 27-year-old Traci Eppes of Riverdale attempted to leave the store without paying for earrings valued at $29.50, according to reports. Eppes admitted to shoplifting and was cited with theft, police said.

THURSDAY, MARCH 22
Fitting Room Fake-Out
Two Chicago women were arrested at Express clothing store in Orland Square after employees saw them go into fitting rooms with items and come out without them, according to reports. Police said a check of the fitting rooms determined the items and their security sensors were gone. Police said they cited Lasheere Ward, 24, and Alisha Ratley, 23, with retail theft. As Ratley attempted to exit the store, the security sensors went off and she ran, according to reports, but authorities were able to stop the women outside the mall and recover the clothing.

Wine Taken from Walgreens
Employees at a Walgreens in Orland Park called police after seeing a young man putting a bottle wine under his hoodie at about 12:46 a.m., according to reports. Police say Marcus Connor, 19, of the 8800 block of Camoustie Drive was spotted placing the $12.79 bottle of Chardonnay under his sweatshirt and tried to run out of the store when confronted. By that time, police had arrived, according to reports, and discovered Connor smelled strongly of alcohol. He was cited was retail theft of less than $50 and illegal possession/consumption of alcohol. He was taken home and released to his parents, according to reports.
