Orland Park Police Blotter: Underage DUI and Trespassing

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 19

Underage DUI

Jesus Garcia-Gaspar, 20, of the 9800 block of El Cameno Lane in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence, no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and underage consumption of alcohol. Police said they found Garcia-Gaspar sleeping in his car in the 9500 block of 144th Place around 4 a.m. He was described in the report as “incoherent” and “disoriented” with slurred speech and he failed field sobriety tests.

Marijuana Possession

Juannell N. Jefferson, 49, of the 600 block of 144th Place in Dolton, was charged with possession of cannabis. Police said they stopped a car in the 14900 block of LaGrange Road around 2:15 a.m. for drifting between lanes. In the back seat, police found 5.8 grams of marijuana which belonged to Jefferson, a passenger in the car, according to the report.

Trespassing at Lifetime

Yazen Mustafa, 19, of the 17000 block of Meadowcrest Drive in Homer Glen, was charged criminal trespass. Police said Mustafa set foot inside Lifetime Fitness, , around 2:30 p.m. and began using exercise equipment.

TUESDAY, OCT. 18

Marijuana Possession

Three men were issued drug-related tickets after police stopped their car in the 14400 block of Jefferson Avenue around 11:30 p.m. for failing to signal at an intersection, police said.

Christian A. Zylinski, 19, of the 13200 block of 85th Avenue in Palos Park, and Palos Hills residents Yazan A. Yousef, 19, of the 7900 block of Sheffield Drive, and Joseph A. Orant, 21, of the 10000 block of Eleanor Avenue, were each charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they found two marijuana pipes and 1 gram of marijuana in Zylinkski’s car.

Sunset DUI

Juan L. Delgado, 40, of the 8600 block of Shagbark Court in Orland Park, was charged with DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol. Police said they stopped Delgado’s car near 151st Street and Sunset Ridge Drive around midnight for driving without a license plate light. Delgado failed field sobriety tests, and officers found open beer cans in his car, according to the report. He was also charged with no rear registration plate light, no proof of insurance, driving on a suspended license and no valid driver’s license.

Marijuana Possession

Tyron C. Ellis, 22, of the 15600 block of Dixie Highway in Harvey, was charged with possession of cannabis. Police said they stopped Ellis’ car in the 15300 block of 94th Avenue around 10 p.m. for drifting between lanes and found less than a gram in his center console and a blunt in the ashtray.
