Police Blotter: Firewood Theft

Police said a man was seen taking bundles of firewood and putting them into a parked vehicle at Gas City, 9382 171st St., around 11:25 p.m. The business was closed and there was no way for the man to pay for the wood, police said. The vehicle was pulled over in the 16800 block of 92nd Avenue and Louis J. Gonzalez, 23, of the 14000 block of Clearview Drive in Orland Park, was charged with retail theft.
