Police Blotter: Vomit, Wet Pants, Brawling and Perfume Thievery

Orland Park police reports, Dec. 7-13.

MONDAY, DEC. 13

You Can't Take it with You

Salah S. Elmatari, 23, of the 9100 block of Lunar Court in Orland Park, was charged with battery and disorderly conduct. Police said Elmatari punched a male friend in the face outside a restaurant in the 18000 block of Wolf Road around 12:45 a.m. after an argument about money.

SUNDAY, DEC. 12

Indoor Outhouse

Stanislaw A. Kowalczyk, 39, of the 5300 block of 51st Street in Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid accident, no valid driver's license and operating an uninsured vehicle. Police said they found Kowalczyk behind the wheel of his car, stuck in a ditch, in the 9000 block of 135th Street around 11:30 p.m. He was taken to Palos Community Hospital, where police said he was uncooperative with paramedics and urinated in a garbage can.

SATURDAY, DEC. 11

Fogged Up

Dina M. Ramahi, 23, of the 15500 block of Peachtree Drive in Orland Park, was charged with possession of marijuana. Police said they saw a car with "fogged up" windows in the 15300 block of Regent Drive around 12:15 a.m. and found five people and a blunt. Ramahi claimed ownership of the marijuana and was therefore the only one charged, according to the report.

Street Brawl

Police said they went to the 11100 block of Marilyn Court about a fight around 4 a.m., and saw a group of people go into a home as they arrived.

Police said they were unable to get an answer at the door of the home but questioned two women sitting in a nearby car. Inside, police found an open can of beer and a marijuana pipe, according to the report.

Jeaneen W. Zayed, 19, of the 7800 block of 100th Place in Palos Hills, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with expired license plates, illegal transportation of alcohol, obstructed windshield, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving an uninsured vehicle. Amanda C. Somenzi, 19, of the 7800 block of 97th Street in Hickory Hills, was charged with underage consumption of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The back windshield of another car on the block had been broken, though in the days since no one has filed an incident report, police said.

FRIDAY, DEC. 10

Boys' Night at the Vomitorium

John S. Bilek, 21, of the 14000 block of Terry Drive in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence. Police said they found Bilek asleep in his car covered in his own vomit and urine around 5:30 a.m. in the driveway of his passenger, who was also asleep.

The passenger, Kuba S. Sokol, 20, of the 14000 block of Timothy Drive in Orland Park, was charged with underage consumption of alcohol. Police described Sokol as verbally combative.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 8

Perfume Theft

Christine M. Donati, 34, of the 16100 block of Pin Oak Court in Homer Glen, was charged with criminal damage to property and possession of stolen property. Police said they found $84 worth of makeup from a beauty product store in the 15700 block of LaGrange Road inside Donati's car, which they stopped a few yards from the store, around 5 p.m.

Store employees told police that, before leaving the store, Donati broke open four perfume boxes worth about $300 and sprayed herself, despite the fact that there were sample perfume bottles nearby.

Store employees also told police that Donati tried to steal perfume from their store a couple weeks ago. When confronted at the door, she dropped the perfume and left, although no charges from that incident were filed, according to the report.

TUESDAY, DEC. 7

DUI Accident

Jennifer L. Carrig, 52, of the 6600 block of 175th Street in Tinley Park, was charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed. Police said Carrig caused a three-car collision near LaGrange Road and 162nd Street around 6:15 p.m. A driver in one of the other cars reported a minor head injury. The other driver and a child passenger reported no injuries, police said.
