Police Investigating Death at Discovery Park

An Orland Park man was found dead at Discovery Park Wednesday evening.

Emergency teams were called to the park between Southwest Highway and Brook Hill Drive about a man who fell and wasn’t moving around 7 p.m.

A resident who lives adjacent to the park said a man was seen falling down near benches next to a baseball diamond, and he remained there until an ambulance took the body away.

Police are investigating the death but no evidence of foul play was found. Around 8 p.m. Orland Fire Protection District personnel hosed down the bench area.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office did not have information available about cause of death Wednesday night.
