Police Looking for People Responsible for Two Home Burglaries

Two young men were in the area around the time of the crimes.

The are looking for people responsible for entering two Orland Park houses Tuesday and stealing property.

Between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Nov. 22, a house in the 8900 block of Pine Street and another home in the 8500 block of Cedar Street were burglarized by people who accessed the homes through unlocked doors, according to a release from the Orland Park Police Department.

The suspects took jewelry, laptop computers and video game systems from the homes. Around noon, two suspicious men were seen running through the backyards of the burglarized homes, and entered a brown/gold colored four-door SUV, possibly a GMC Jimmy, according to the release.

Police described the men as follows:

  • Late teens, early 20s
  • Both wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts
  • One wearing grey sweatpants and white gym shoes
  • Another wearing dark pants and black gym shoes

Police request that residents double check locks on doors and vehicles.
