Signs of a Break In Found at House Fire

While crews tended to a fire at an Orland Hills house, they found a forced entry may have happened.

No one was injured during a fire at an unoccupied Orland Hills house Friday night, though crews found signs that the house was broken into.

The was called about a fire at 9208 169th Place around 9:40 p.m. Firefighters responded to the call from neighbors in about four minutes and the fire was put out in about 10 minutes, according to a release from the district. The house, which has been unoccupied for about six months, was heavily damaged in the blaze.

The fire is under investigation as a suspicious case, and personnel found evidence of a forced entry, according to the release.
