Speedy Berwyn Driver Busted for DUI: Blotter

A Berwyn man stopped for allegedly traveling 30 mph over the speed limit is accused of drunken driving. 

Frederick W. Seilheimer, 24, of the 3400 block of Harlem Avenue, Berwyn, was charged on June 13 with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08, speeding, driving without a license and driving without insurance, according to a report.

A dark-colored Jeep was traveling 69 mph in a 35 mph zone at about 3:07 am. in the 14700 block of LaGrange Road, police said. The Jeep turned into a restaurant parking lot and stopped for police.

Police said the driver, Seilheimer, spoke with slurred speech and had an odor of alcohol on his breath.

Seilheimer performed field sobriety tests and took a breath test before he was arrested, according to the report. He was released later that morning and given a July 1 court date.
