Woman Calls Friend After Retail Theft Arrest: Blotter

Orland Park police reports, March 2-6.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6

Tough Phone Call

Lauren Zaragoza, 23, of the 10600 block of Avon Court in Palos Hills, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. She is accused of taking two dresses from Sears, 2 Orland Square Dr. Police were called at about 5:17 p.m. after store employees had stopped a woman who was with Zaragoza in the store before she left. Zaragoza was called by the woman and told to return to the store with the dresses. She is due in Bridgeview court on April 12. The other woman received local ordinance violations for retail theft.

Warrant For Retail Theft

William M. Patrick, 19, of the 1000 block of Mildred Lane in University Park, was arrested on a Cook County warrant for retail theft. Riverdale police had found Patrick and turned him over to Orland Park custody. He is due in Bridgeview court on April 12.

DUI Charge For Orland Park Driver

Theresa M. Przybtek, 39, of the 14600 block of Poplar Road in Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, endangering the life of a child, driving too fast for conditions, driving without a valid license and driving without insurance, according to a report. Przybtek was involved in a one-vehicle crash at about 4:41 a.m. near 8100 W. 143rd St. Police spoke with Przybtek, who was bleeding from the her nose, at a nearby convenience store. She reportedly told police she had left her two children home alone. Police were sent to check on the children. She was taken to Palos Community Hospital for treatment.
