Wrong-Way Driver Charged with DUI in Orland Park

Annette Kim, 50, was pulled over on Sept. 18 and arrested after police asked her to perform tests for sobriety.

A 50-year-old Orland Park woman pulled over for driving in the wrong lane faces drunken driving charges.

Annette H. Kim, 50, of the 17200 block of Brookgate Drive, Orland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08 and two counts of improper lane use

Police noticed a white Lexus at about 1:47 a.m. on Sept. 18 driving southbound in the northbound lane on Will-Cook Road, the report states. An officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol on the driver's breath. Kim fumbled through documents when asked to present her driver's license. She told police she drank two beers that night.

An officer arrested Kim after she tried to finish tests for sobriety, the report states. While in custody, police also administered a breath test.

Kim is due on Oct. 9 in Bridgeview court.
