Polar Plunge for Special Olympics of Illinois

The Palos Heights Police Department, in conjunction with the Special Olympics of Illinois, are accepting donations from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support the nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 6,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 of Special Olympics Illinois! Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.

To reward your generosity, we are going to join more than 5,700 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of this winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois. I guess you could say that we are  “Freezin’ for a Reason”!
