Three Events at Orland Township: Electronics Recycling Event, "Shred-A-Thon" and Food Drive

Orland Township is hosting the “Can” Do Food Drive, benefitting the Orland Township Food Pantry, on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Highway Department, 16125 S. Wolf Road, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Residents are encouraged to donate any unexpired canned or non-perishable items, which will be used to stock the shelves of the Food Pantry during the demands of the holiday season.

In addition to the “Can” Do Food Drive, the day will also play host to the final electronics recycling event of the year, “Sustainable Saturday”, sponsored by Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady, the Orland Township Board of Trustees and Orland Township Highway Commissioner Brian Younker, as well as “Shred-A-Thon”, an event which will provide an opportunity to dispose of unwanted personal documents.
