Main Street Triangle Parking Regulations and More (Live Blog)

Orland Park trustees heard the first plan Monday night to add parking and traffic restrictions in the Main Street Triangle area.
During the public safety committee meeting, Orland Park Police Chief Tim McCarthy offered a plan where 82 parking spots in the triangle would be restricted to three hour parking between 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. The spots would then be available overnight from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.
An additional 30 spots would be available during weekends and holidays during the same time frame.
The plan will next be voted on by the full village board.

Orland Park trustees will hear recommendations for parking and traffic regulations for the Main Street Triangle area during Monday night's village board meeting.
With the Ninety 7 Fifty on the Park apartment complex near completion and other retail opening, the area "requires parking and traffic regulations that will accommodate parking for retail customers, residents, commuters, pedestrians and vehicular traffic in that area," according to a village memo.
The development services and public works committees will also meet Monday night.
