UPDATE: Races for Orland Boards Packed With Candidates

Orland voters should be ready for a lengthy ballot come April.

Races for governing bodies throughout Orland Township are packed with candidates. 

Two slates of three candidates each are running for three open seats on the Orland Park Village Board. Three independent hopefuls also are vying for the three seats at the governing body.

The Orland Park Public Library Board will have 10 candidates running for three open seats at the trustee table. The Orland Hills Library Board has four candidates running for six openings. 

While not as numerous in options, the Orland Fire Protection District has five candidates facing off for two open seats. Likewise with the Orland School District 135 Board of Education, where four candidates are vying for three open slots.
