Athlete of the Week: Sandburg's Lemonte Booker Delivers Football Goods
Lemonte Booker's two touchdowns, all-around fireworks help the Eagles withstand a football challenge from Joliet West.
On the second play from scrimmage, 's Lemonte Booker found a seam and went 65 yards for a touchdown. Later, he latched on to a 57-yard touchdown pass in the Eagels' 35-28 football victory over Joliet West on Saturday.
Thanks to his blockers on special teams, Booker also had kickoff returns of 25 and 30 yards before Joliet West stopped kicking to him.
Booker broke multiple tackles en route to a 237-yard all-purpose offensive performance. And, while his offensive line deserves credit, he is honored today as the Patch Athlete of the Week for Orland Park.
