Gimme 5: Sandburg's Jurceka Pitches on Baseball Diamond, in Backyards

Eagles' senior pitcher enjoys throwing bags with his friends during the summertime.

Brent Jurceka is going in to his senior year at Sandburg High School. He is a pitcher on the Eagles' baseball team and has been extremely appreciative of the coaching he's received over the last few years.

In Jurceka's first season of varsity baseball, he played under legendary coach Doug Sutor and had a front-row seat during Sutor's swan song year.

Jurceka posted a 4-1 record in the spring for the Eagles. He also has pitched well this summer. And, when he stepped away from the diamond, he pitched bags instead of baseballs.
