On His Game: For Sandburg's Danny Lojek, Soccer is a 'Beautiful Game'

Eagles' senior midfielder Danny Lojek scored the lone goal in a 1-0 overtime boys soccer victory over Lockport on Monday. He is headed to Notre Dame next season.

It took an extra 40 seconds, but the Eagles were willing to wait to get a win in their first boys soccer conference game at home against Lockport Monday night. And the win was in large part a result of Danny Lojek's work.

Lojek, a senior midfielder, scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over the Porters less than one minute into overtime. He has been scoring goals all his life.

He recently committed to play soccer at Notre Dame. And he has his sights on playing professionally.
