Key to Being Awesome:  So far this school year, 5th grader Joey Boyce has read 38 of the 40 Illinois Bluestem and Rebecca Caudill Award nominee books for 2011.  Students from around the state read the nominated books in order to vote and help choose an award winning book. Students need to read four Bluestem nominees or three Rebecca Caudill nominees in order to vote.  Joey, who is a student at Meadow Ridge, worked to read almost all of the books nominated for this year. His hard work and determination have payed off in this amazing accomplishment. Joey sets an example for other readers to aspire to. His classmates and teachers are proud of his amazing reading feat!
