Football: Sandburg Stays Ahead of Lockport for Win

The Carl Sandburg Eagles keep a firm grip on the lead throughout against the Lockport Township East Porters, winning 28-14.

The Sandburg Eagles officially have a winning record in the 2013 season.

The Carl Sandburg High School varsity football team took down the Lockport Porters, 28-14, at Friday night’s game in Lockport.

Sandburg stayed ahead of Lockport throughout the game, starting with two touchdowns in the first quarter. By the half, Lockport was on the board with a touchdown, but Sandburg padded their lead, bringing the score to 21-7.

Lockport inched back a little with a touchdown in the third quarter, but Sandburg’s Brian Langowski answered again, running it in for Sandburg’s last touchdown of the game.

Sandburg’s record is 2-1, while Lockport falls to 0-3.
