The exploits of Sandburg grad  and his traithalon glory have been well-chronicled, but according to Jeff Vorva at TribLocal, Verzbicas could stand at the beginning of a long line of standout triathletes to go through Sandburg High School. Triathletes from Orland and Tinley Park as young as 12 are placing in national and international events. One of them, Aidan Farley, age 12, placed 14th at the IronKids Triathalon in West Des Moines, Iowa, on Sept. 17.
