Nicholas Prajka, a recent graduate from Carl Sandburg High School, will be traveling to Greensboro, NC for the New Balance Track and Field National Championships this weekend.
He has qualified and will be running the 800 meter alongside 21 other of the top running talents in the United States.
Prajka, 18, is planning to attend Loyola University Chicago to study communications and run mid-distance for the Rambler’s track team. Prajka is an All-State runner for the 3200m relay, a 2x 3-event qualifier for the Illinois TF state meet, an SWSC Academic Award recipient, part of Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society and has received the Cook County Sheriff’s Award twice for volunteerism.
He and his older brother Tim, along with parents Linda and Dave, live in Orland Park.
