Sports Video Highlight Reel: Sandburg Football Takes the Field

As summer draws to a close, most students cringe at the thought of going back to school. Not so with the students and players on the Sandburg football team. The Eagles took to the field for their first practice on Wednesday and are ready to get the season under way.

Coach Dave Wierzal and his coaching staff ran players through a variety of drills to make sure they are fit and in shape. Players received physicals and took concussion tests to ensure their health and safety before even stepping on the field.

Wierzal and the Eagles are looking forward to their first game against district rival Andrew on Friday, Aug. 26.
