Another stellar season ends. Summer camp begins.
Local seventh- through 10th-graders flocked to Sandburg High School this week for softball camp. And they were taught the basics of the game by a staff that has the Eagles soaring.
Hosted by coaches Jim Fabianski, Chris Milo and Dan Olsen, the Sandburg camp focused on teaching the fundamentals of fielding, baserunning, throwing and hitting while also helping the girls build upon the knowledge they already have. The week culminated with a couple scrimmage games between the girls.
