Two Moraine Valley Players Named to Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team

Former Sandburg standout Rebecca Theriault and Stagg graduate Brittany Bixman have been getting the job done on and off the floor for the Moraine Valley Community College women's basketball team.

Freshman forward Rebeccas Theriault () and sophomore point guard Brittany Bixman (Stagg) have been getting it done on and off the court for the Moraine Valley Community College women’s basketball team.

Theriault and Bixman recently were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Capital One Academic All-District women’s basketball team in the District 3 College Division.

Bixman directs the Moraine Valley attack. She also averages 4.4 points and ranks third on the team in 3-point shooting with 17. Theriault is averaging 5.0 points in her first season playing with the Cyclones.

Moraine Valley is 19-7 overall and 8-3 in conference play heading into a 5:15 p.m. home game on Thursday vs. Waubonsee Community College.
