VOTE FOR OAK FOREST!? I believe Oak Forest is now in second place...we should all vote for Oak Forest because Orland is now in 4th place!! At least we could use Oak Forest's dog park, right?

You may or may not realize this, but this article is about the Taste of Orland Park.

Ben. I can 't log onto the link to enter the contest ... I am not sure why except maybe I already follow your Patch.... but I wanted a chance to enter the contest .any ideas? Are you guys going to have an info booth there? Do you need help with anything?
Ben Feldheim (Editor) July 16, 2012 at 12:35 pm
Barb, I'm not sure what you mean when you say "log onto the link." All you need to do is type your name, email and hometown into the form above and click submit. Is the form showing up for you?

Last year was the first year I went, which is probably sad to say, as someone who lived in Orland for more of her life. But it was really good, so I recommend everyone go to this. Much more affordable then Taste of Chicago, and all the entertainment is free!
My only recommendation is to consider bringing your own chairs or blankets to sit on. Plenty of room on the lawns for you to set up your own spots. But not a lot picnic tables set up for everyone. However, if you don't mind sitting inside, or need to sit inside to get out of the heat, they do have a ton of tables & chairs set up in the Civic Center. That's another plus you don't see at other cities' tastes :-) Hoping there will be even more vendors signing up. Nothing against the ones already signed up...but since Orland has opened up a few more restaurants this year, it would be great if they could afford to do a tent. Its a great way to try out new places without having to pay for whole meal.

Thats the problem Ben no form shown- no matter where you click... I already get patch at 2 email addresses. I was trying to enter my husbands email since he's alwaus reading Patch on my phone but no where to sign up as a contestant for the taste?
freddie July 20, 2012 at 06:23 pm
vokist..the form appears on the top of this page before the story for me. ANd I have used IE, Chrome and Firefox and it appears in all 3 browsers. It also shows up on my Kindle Fire so maybe you have some setting set on your browser that do not allow it to be entered
Ben Feldheim (Editor) July 20, 2012 at 07:47 pm
For most folks who couldn't see the form, logging out of Patch, closing your browser and starting back over tends to do the trick.
Jaime July 24, 2012 at 01:50 pm
How can i be a vendor at this event
Ben Feldheim (Editor) July 24, 2012 at 03:28 pm
Jaime, I believe it's too late for this year, but the person in charge of events is Patty Vlazny. She can be reached at 708-403-6145 or pvlazny@orland-park.il.us.
