Party in the Park Rocks Orland Hills (Gallery)

began the tradition of the Party in the Park just last year, in celebration of their village's 50th Anniversary. Mayor Kyle Hastings has promised that as long as he's standing, the tradition will continue.

This year's celebration featured American English, a Beatles tribute band. The band played many of the Beatles hits as well as some original music.

After the band's first set, the village set off a spectacular fireworks display. Set to a variety of patriotic songs and old favorites, the sites and sounds did not disappoint the crowd. Many gave it a standing ovation.

In addition to the main stage, the food courts and beer garden drew many visitors. The park itself was filled with thousands in attendance.

Hastings promised that next year's Party in the Park will be even bigger and better than this year, which will be no small feat to accomplish.
