District 135 Students Build Bears for Hope

Orland School District 135 students partipated in the grand opening event of the new Build A Bear Workshop in Orland Square mall.

District 135 students built bears with heart and soul for the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation at the opening of a new Build A Bear Workshop. The grand opening took place on May 3 at the new BABW location in Orland Square mall. Students from each of the ten schools were made bears with hearts and hugs that would be part of the 200 bears donated to Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn. Participating students were chosen based on the outstanding character they display towards their peers and enjoyed the experience as a way to give back to children in their community.
