Discounted Tickets Available for Village of Orland Park's White Sox Grand Slam Event

You don't have to live in Orland Park to take advantage of the discounted tickets for the Village of Orland Park's Chicago White Sox Grand Slam Event.

The Village of Orland Park’s Grand Slam Event with the Chicago White Sox has become an annual favorite for baseball fans from throughout the region. The Tuesday, August 7th 7:10 p.m. home game against the Kansas City Royals is this year’s event for Orland Park.

“The White Sox have invited Orland Park to participate in a grand slam group event for the last few years and we invite people from throughout the region to be a part of this evening of baseball,” said Orland Park Mayor Dan McLaughlin. Attendees need not live in Orland Park to order the discounted tickets.

McLaughlin will throw out the game’s first pitch following the presentation of colors by members of Orland Park Boy Scout Troop 383.

Specially priced White Sox tickets are available for the game with lower box seats being available for $20 and upper box costing $11.

More than 1000 people attended Orland Park’s first grand slam event held in 2009, with nearly that many braving the rain in 2010. “We’re hoping that even more families are able to take advantage of the discounted tickets this year,” the mayor said. “This is a nice break for those who may otherwise be forced to limit their summer travel and activities,” he added.

“The White Sox have put together a nice package for the game,” McLaughlin said. “Along with specially priced tickets, families can order parking passes and hot dog value meals, making it a reasonably priced outing,” he said. “And, this year the ‘Orland Park White Sox Fan’ t-shirt is back for people to order,” the mayor added.

Tickets will be mailed to the provided address and all game times and promotions are subject to change.

“This is a great outing for everyone, whether they’re from Orland Park or not,” McLaughlin said, adding, “It’s a great night of baseball.”
