Celebs Raise Money in Orland Park to Honor Jack Brickhouse

She always has energy in her words, but Patricia Brickhouse was even more excited than usual when asked about the recent Jack Brickhouse Benefit in Orland Park.

“For our first time in Orland Park, I’m very pleased,” said the wife of the legendary Chicago broadcaster, who organized the event in honor of her husband. "Everyone had a lovely time."

hosted a packed house Thursday night for the first Orland Park Jack Brickhouse Benefit, to raise money for the .

A live auction during the event brought in $4,185 alone, Patricia Brickhouse said. More funds from ticket sales and other donations also came in and are still being tallied.

Serving the attendees were an all-star slate of Chicago sports stars from the Bears, Bulls and White Sox, as well as 41-year Sox organist Nancy Faust.

Look out for another benefit in honor of the famed voice of Chicago sports.

“We’re looking forward to coming back for another,” Patricia Brickhouse said.

• Nancy Faust, former long time (41 years) Chicago White Sox organist
• Dan Hampton, defensive tackle for the Chicago Bears from 1979-1990; on the Chicago Bears 1985 Super Bowl XX championship team; inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002
• Elliott Harris, host of Sports and Torts, a weekly online talk show; sportswriter for the Chicago Sun-Times from 1979-2011; penned his “Quick Hits” column from 1998-2011
• John Lattner, 1953 Heisman Trophy winner; 1954 Notre Dame graduate; drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and as a rookie played in the 1954 All Pro Game
• Bob Love, Chicago Bulls superstar and second all-time leading scorer in Bulls history
• Billy Pierce, Chicago White Sox pitcher who won 20 games in two consecutive years (1956 and 1957)
• Steve Trout, Chicago White Sox pitcher from 1978-1982 and Chicago Cubs pitcher from 1983-1987
