While I must admit, my family likes the pizza from Beggars, the last 2 times I have gone there, the service has been horrible. THe 1st time, after waiting for our pizza for quite a while, the waitress came out and told us that the cook made the pizza wrong. She offered us the wrong pizza, which we did take because we were hungry, and to make it up, they did offer to give us a pizza like we originally wanted. We did take this pizza home. The very next time, we went and had a different waitress and ordered our pizza. After another long wait, the waitress came along to tell us that another waitress (actually the same one we had the 1st time) took our pizza and served it to someone else (and to top it off, it wasn't the topping the other people wanted, so they sent it back). We considered leaving, but once again, my wife was hungry and when the manager offered us a free appetizer, we took it and then waited on the pizza to be remade.

While they did try to make good on their screwups, this place needs to get their act together. The food is good, but the service is not

*****

Great pizza. They really lay it on thick. excellent sauce, sturdy crust, and very cheesy. 25% off on Mondays. My whole family loves it.

Since everybody seems to rave about Beggers Pizza, my family decided to try it out. Now my wife and daughter do not like deep dish, so we ordered a thin crust half sausage, half pepperoni. It was horrible...the worst tasting pizza I had in my life. THe toppings were good, but the crust was almost inedible. I had to saw thru the crust like I was sawing wood and wood probably would have tasted better than this crust. It was hard and tastless.

Just to be fair, I decided to try this place a 2nd time a week later to see if that crust I got was a fluke. Once again, I got a pizza with a rock hard tasteless crust. It was not a fluke. Needless to say, we will not be returning here. I can't believe people actually like this place.
